Details & Distinction

Are the antlers real?

Yes. We use naturally shed  antlers. Each spring, these animals naturally shed and regrow their antlers. We source only dropped sheds — no animals are harmed. We deeply respect the animals and the land they come from.

Where do your antlers come from?

Every spring, experienced shed collectors gather antlers across the American West. From hundreds of antlers, we select only those with strong structure, beautiful tone, and sculptural character. Quality begins at the source.

What makes Rocky Mountain Antler Co. different?

We do not simply assemble antlers. No mass produce assembly. We compose them. Each chandelier begins with a vision. Jason personally selects and balances every antler chandelier and piece to create proportion, movement, and architectural presence. These are refined statement pieces, heirloom designs meant to anchor a room, not just light it.

How do I choose the right size chandelier?

Scale is everything. Room dimensions and ceiling height determine proper proportion. As a general starting guide, add your room dimensions in feet — that number in inches is your minimum chandelier diameter. Higher ceilings require larger scale to maintain visual balance. If you provide your room measurements and desired drop height, we’ll guide you confidently through the selection process.

Can fixtures be customized?

Absolutely.

We tailor:

   •   Diameter and length

   •   Drop height

   •   Chain or rod suspension

   •   Finish

   •   Light count and warmth

   •   Vaulted or sloped ceiling accommodations

Each piece is built specifically for its intended space.

Where are your chandeliers made?

Every chandelier and furniture piece is handcrafted by Jason Burtness in our shop. No mass production. No outsourced assembly. Each design is shaped by experience, balanced by eye, and finished with intention.

can I use my own antlers?

Yes — we can build your chandelier using your own antlers. Once they arrive at our shop, they are weighed and credited by the pound toward the price of your chandelier. If there are any antlers not used in the final design, we can either return them to you or apply the remaining weight as additional credit. It’s a meaningful way to create a truly personal, heirloom-quality piece.

At the center of every Rocky Mountain Antler Co. piece is the hand and eye of Jason Burtness.

Jason does not simply build lighting — he creates it. Each antler is selected individually from hundreds,  for curve, strength, and character. Balance is not measured by template, but by instinct refined over decades. Proportion is adjusted by eye. Movement is intentional. Presence is earned.

What emerges is not rustic décor, but sculptural architecture — lighting that carries weight, history, and quiet power.

Every chandelier that leaves our shop has been shaped by hand, guided by experience, and finished with a level of care reserved for heirloom pieces.

This is craftsmanship in its truest form.
